The Nike Peach Jam is one of the top recruiting events of the summer as seemingly every big-named college basketball coach descends on North Augusta, SC to check out some of the best high school talent in the country.  Murray State's Steve Prohm is among the coaches trying to find guys to fill out his 2013 recruiting class.

Prohm expects to have five scholarships to fill for that 2013 class.  He says his plan was to sign three guards and two forwards, but with the recent injury to LaTreze Mushatt, those plans have changed.  There is a possibility Mushatt could miss the season and then apply for a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA.  If that extra year is granted, Prohm would only have four scholarships to use for that 2013 class.  With no idea yet on what will happen with Mushatt, Prohm says he's in a bit of a holding pattern.

"You almost want to sit tight and just sign one front-court player just in case," Prohm said. "Right now our goal is to sign at least one good front-court player, but I know we want we definitely want to get three perimeter players."

Prohm said he has not been in Murray since Mushatt got hurt, so he doesn't have much of an update on Mushatt's health.  Prohm said Mushatt's surgery went well and that rehab is the next step -- but added there is no timetable yet for when Mushatt might be able to return.
