Racers try to avoid letdown after Belmont win
MURRAY, KY-- After an important win over Belmont on Thursday, Murray State has no time to savor the victory. Instead, they're focused on avoiding a letdown against Tennessee State.
"That game's over," said Murray State head coach Steve Prohm of the Belmont victory. "It was a good win, but it's just one win, and now we've got a very, very good Tennessee State team coming in here, which I think their starting five is as good as anyone in the league. We've got to come out with great focus, and that's what I'll talk to them about and continue to try to preach to them."
Saturday's game with the Tigers is actually the one year anniversary since TSU ended the Racers perfect season. But that's not something Prohm has thought about.
"I think everybody's just in the moment," he admitted. "I didn't have any idea, and I usually follow everything, and probably more-so than a coach should, just so I always have my ears and eyes open to everything, and I had no idea."
