MURRAY, Ky - At the beginning of the season Steve Prohm said that his team would be playing their best basketball in February. After defeating Belmont and Tennessee State last week his prediction came true.

"I think Thursday's game was the best we have played in a while," Prohm said. "I think the Belmont game was good for us in that it made the guys prepare harder. It carried over into Saturday's game. But there is still more work we need to do."

Prohm also said that the reason for the success has been that LaTreze Mushatt has returned, as the freshman developing a larger role.

"I think Latreze coming back for us was huge," Prohm said. "He gives us needed depth and becomes the sixth man off the bench. Him returning has helped us use the freshman differently and work on both sides of the ball."

This week Murray State will begin their final road trip of the season with games at SIU Edwardsville, Eastern Illinois, and Morehead State.
