Saturday at the CFSB Center, Murray State will host a not-so-secret scrimmage with Middle Tennessee.  The only secrecy surrounding the scrimmage is that it is closed to the public and media.  The scrimmage is set up just like a game and it will give Murray State coach Steve Prohm a good sense of where his team is at right now.

College teams have the option to play two exhibition games or play an exhibition and have a scrimmage.  Prohm wishes he could skip the exhibition games altogether and scrimmage two teams.

"I think you can get more out of the scrimmage when we can scrimmage another quality mid-major or even a high-major two different times," Prohm said. "You can't do that in an exhibition.  You have to play either a Division 2, Division 3 or an NAIA (team)."

Murray State will play their only exhibition game Monday, November 2nd against Freed-Hardeman.
