Racers have had to rally a lot this season
MURRAY-- If you've watched Murray State play this year and thought, they've had to pull a bunch of games out of the fire, it's because they have. It's not just a feeling, there are plenty of numbers to back it up.
The Racers have trailed eight times this year at the half, but rallied to win six of those games. Part of the reason for those first half holes, Murray is shooting 41.6 percent from the floor in the first. But in the second more than ten percent better. That discrepancy has been even greater in the last four games, where the racers are shooting just 34 percent in the first, but better than 60 in the second.
The racers know this is a season trend they need to end as soon as possible.
"That's one thing we have to work on," said senior forward LaTreze Mushatt. "Come out, be more ready than waiting until the second half, because against EKU, it was a hard deficit to overcome. We just have to bring it more, we didn't come out hard enough, and we're going to fix that for sure."
