After seven seasons on the sidelines at Calloway County, Laker football head coach Josh McKeel has resigned.

McKeel will stay on as the school's athletic director.

He says it's time to step away and spend more time with his family.

McKeel's high point as head coach came in 2008 when he coached the lakers to their first state semi-final appearance in school history.

His career record at Calloway County is 31-49.
