Calloway County's Hack wins KHSAA 1st Region Golf Tournament

MURRAY, KY-- The Calloway County Lakers punched their ticket to the state tournament on Monday, winning the KHSAA 1st Region Golf Tournament by nine strokes.  Marshall County will also be making the trip to state, as they finished in second, with a score of 330.

Leading the way for Calloway County was sophomore Anna Hack. Hack had a dominant performance, especially on the back nine, where she recorded four birdies in a row.  Hack was your individual champion with an overall score of 67, good for five under par.

Paducah Tilghman's Teri Doss was nine strokes behind Hack, and qualifies for state as an individual. Heath's Sydney Trimble, Graves County's Emily Whitnell, and Trigg County's Madison Chaney are also state-bound.
