Local prep standouts prepare for All-Star game
MAYFIELD, KY -- Practice continued over at Mid-Continent as local high school football players prepared for Friday's Kentucky-Illinois All-Star game.
Some of the best graduated seniors from Kentucky and Illinois will be playing in the game, some of them playing for the last time. Close to 100 kids all will participate in the game.
The Kentucky team is highlighted by Mayfield's Jonathan Jackson and Graves County's Zach Katzman. Both Jackson and Katzman will be playing at Murray State next year.
Kickoff is set for 7pm at Saluki Stadium in Carbondale, Illinois.
