Earnhardt Jr. in Michigan, site of most recent win
BROOKLYN, Mich. - It's been four years since Dale Earnhardt Jr. won a Sprint Cup race. He's back in Michigan for this weekend's 400-mile race at the site of his most recent Cup victory. Earnhardt is second in the points standings and has 11 top-10 finishes this year. It's an impressive run of success - but without any wins. He's without a victory in 143 Cup races since his fuel-mileage victory at Michigan International Speedway four years ago. The date was June 15, 2008 - when he snapped what was at that point a 76-race winless skid. Earnhardt says he's fine with the questions about his drought because at least people still care and are paying attention to him. Follow WPSD Sports on Facebook by clicking here. |
