Kentucky Speedway an unknown to many NASCAR drivers
When NASCAR's Sprint Cup series rolls into Kentucky Speedway this week, it will be the first time many of the Sprint Cup drivers will have raced on that track. While Kentucky Speedway has hosted Truck and Nationwide series races, this will be the first time NASCAR's top circuit will hold a race there. Drivers say experience at a track is vital, so the four Sprint Cup practice sessions will be vital for the guys as they try to get comfortable with their new surroundings. Joey Logano has experience as a Nationwide driver at the track, and it will be interesting to see if that experience helps him any on Saturday night.
The Truck series held two practice sessions on Wednesday. Austin Dillon dominated the second session with an average speed of better than 173 miles per hour.
