Local welding student wants to win 'Jobs' scholarship

MARSHALL CO, Ky - A local high school student has dreams of going to a prestigious trade school in Jacksonville, Florida, but he needs your help to forge his future.

Today is the last day to vote for Tyler Devine in the Tulsa School of Welding video contest. Dirty Jobs host, Mike Rowe, is sponsoring the contest for 1 student to win a $15,000 scholarship to the Tulsa School of Welding. Tyler is one of 45 students competing for the opportunity to fulfill his or her dream.

Tyler is a welding student at the Marshall County Technical Center. He became interested in welding as a young kid while watching his uncle work.

Scroll down towards the bottom of the page and click on a button named 'View Entries'. From there, find a video named 'Tyler Calvert City' with the subtitle 'I have been welding for four years and I have loved every moment of it.'

You can only vote once per day, and the last day to vote is today, Tuesday, April 29th.
