Two arrested on meth drug charges

A couple was arrested on various drug charges after a search of their home.

Misty D Alexander, 35 and David McAlpin, 38 were in the same car when police pulled them over Tuesday afternoon on the Jackson Purchase Parkway when the K9 unit indicated that there were illegal drugs in the car.

Police searched the driver's purse and found a large sum of cash believed to be from illegal drug sales.

An investigation led to the search warrant of their home located at 86 Monroe Street in Fancy Farm.

Four ounces of Methamphetamine, several items of paraphernalia, digital scales, glass pipes, and marijuana were all found in the home.

McAlpin tried to hide the illegal items from detectives when they were searching the home.

Both Alexander and McAlpin were arrested and charged with Controlled Substance less than 2 grams of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McAlpin was additionally charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Just before the two were lodged in the Graves County Jail, detectives found that Alexander had 2 small baggies of methamphetamine and glass pipes hidden on her person.
