MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY -
A man from Boaz, Kentucky has been charged with selling pain medication stolen from the pharmacy he worked at.
27 year-old Andrew Sullivan was indicted by a McCracken County grand jury on 24 counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
The Paducah Police Department received a call from a local pharmacy regarding an internal theft. The investigator said a large amount of hydrocodone tablets were missing from the pharmacy.
Sullivan was interviewed, where he admitted to taking approximately 8,000 of the pain pills over a two year period. Sullivan told officers he sold the pills to "make money to help ends meet." He later said he sold the pills for $4 a piece, which would have generated $32,000 over the two year period.
Andrew Sullivan was arrested on Wednesday morning and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
