PADUCAH - A man was arrested on Friday after he created a disturbance at a local Chuck E. Cheese restaurant.

Officers from the Paducah Police Department were called just before 1:20 pm to the Chuck E. Cheese on Hinkleville Road in reference to a man arguing with others inside. While officers were on their way, an employee reported the man had been locked outside and was hitting the front doors with his fists, breaking the glass.

When officers arrived, they found the man yelling profanities and acting belligerent. They ordered the man to stop several times before he complied. He was finally identified as 20 year-old Michael D. Clayton of Los Angeles, California.

Clayton told the officers he is currently homeless and was "hanging around" inside the restaurant. He said two men asked him why he was asking children questions, and he began arguing with them. Clayton said the men and restaurant employees escorted him outside and he became angry when they locked him out. He confirmed that he started punching the glass doors.

He initially gave officers a false date of birth, using his brother's instead.

Clayton was arrested and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail. He was officially charged with second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree disorderly conduct and giving an officer a false name or address.
