Country star returns home

Posted: Updated:
Celebrating Mother's Day at home is what brings country musician Zach Harris back to Paducah.

Paducah native Zach Harris has been writing songs for the past eight years.

After graduating from Murray State University he moved to Nashville two years ago. He's already found success as a singer - songwriter having appeared on the A & E show Duck Dynasty.

Zach shared the lessons he's learned along the way, "I just learned to take it a day at a time and not worry about the future and just let Jesus open up the right doors and close the wrong ones and wherever I am in five years is where he'll want me to be.  The only thing I can do is work hard and keep him first and have a good support system like my family."

Zach also talked about how much strength he gains from his parents while working in such a competitive field, "It's really good to live closer to Nashville you know only a couple hours away to be able to come home and see my family you know it's a blessing for sure."

Harris' song 'Faith, Hope and Love' will be available for download from the iTunes store Tuesday, May 13th.
