Undercover drug sting leads to arrests

GRAVES Co, Ky - Two men were arrested after an undercover drug sting.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office arrested Nathan Nesler, 26 and Jonathon Lyell, 33 both of Mayfield after they delivered a substance in a plastic baggie to a source in exchange for cash and drove away.

Graves County detectives arranged the exchange in a controlled buy.

After the swap, detectives field tested the substance which turned out to be methamphetamine.

Lyell and Nesler's car was pulled over on K121 Tuesday night around 6pm at the entrance to the Jackson Purchase Hospital.

The two men were placed under arrest for the drug transaction.

Deputies searched the car as well as the men and recovered the money, a methamphetamine pipe, and a used syringe.

They were lodged in the Graves County Jail and charged with Trafficking in a Simulated Substance and Possession of Drug paraphernalia.
