FULTON COUNTY, KY -

One man died and two others were airlifted after being involved in a car crash near Fulton Tuesday morning.

Kentucky State Police say 20-year-old Matthew Morris of Lavinia, Tennessee, was driving his pick-up north on US 45 when for an unknown reason he crossed into the opposite lane and off the road. Morris tried to get back into his lane, but overcorrected and became sideways in the road.

The truck was then hit by the van. The force of the crash ejected Morris from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

87-year-old Clarence Ramsey and his wife, Mary Ramsey, both of Wingo were in the van.

The Ramsey's were airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville due to their injuries.

It is believed that everyone was wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
