PADUCAH - In this week's Help Wanted, a closer look at the importance of the minimum wage issue this Decision 2014.

The latest Bluegrass Poll, conducted just last week by the Courier-Journal, WHAS-TV, the Lexington Herald-Leader and WKYT-TV, shows the majority of Kentucky voters support raising the federal minimum wage from $7.25 per hour, to $10.10 per hour.

Here's how the results break down: 647 people were surveyed. Of those people, 55 percent agree with raising the federal minimum wage, 37 percent oppose it and 8 percent weren't sure. A reminder, the company responsible for de-activating and cleaning up the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant is looking for workers. Leaders of the Fluor Paducah Deactivation Project will hold a job fair Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will be at the Emerging Technology Building at West Kentucky Community and Technical College. Organizers say they will only accept resumes at the fair. They won't accept applications or conduct interviews.
