A Paducah woman has been charged with alerting a prescription to get an early refill of a pain killer.

Paducah Police say 30-year-old Rebecca Harned went to a local pharmacy on June 3rd to get a refill for Hydrocodone.

Pharmacy staff told Harned they couldn't fill the prescription until June 16, the refill date printed on the prescription.

Harned left and returned to the pharmacy on June 9th with the same prescription. This time the date had been altered to say June 6 instead of June 16.

Staff checked with the issuing doctor's office and confirmed the date had been altered.

Harned was arrested and charged with Altering a Prescription for a Controlled Substance. She was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
