Paducah man charged in Kevil bank robbery

BALLARD COUNTY, Ky. -

The man suspected of robbing the First Community Bank in Kevil, Kentucky is facing 11 charges related to that robbery.

The bank was robbed on September 17th.

25-year-old Haywood Jones of Paducah was identified as a suspect and was eventually tracked down in Missouri. He was then extradited back to Ballard County.

On Friday, Jones was indicted by a Ballard County Grand Jury. He faces 5 counts of Wanton Endangerment, 2 counts of Tampering with Physical Evidence, 1 count of Criminal Mischief, 1 count of Persistent Felony Offender, 1 count Theft by Unlawful taking, and 1 count of Robbery.

Jones was also arraigned and a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. He is currently housed in the Ballard County Jail on $200,000 cash bond.

His next court appearance is in December.
