GRAVES COUNTY, KY -

A Graves County man was arrested for allegedly selling stolen property.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office says a man called them saying he heard that 50-year-old Charles "Chuck" May of Podunk was going around attempting to sell property. The man said he believed the items may be stolen.

During an investigation, deputies found that May had a very large propane tank at his home that was taken from a house located on Swan Road in Lynnville. The property owner was taken to the tank and confirmed it was the one that was recently stolen.

A search warrant was executed on May's house and the tank was recovered. Several other tools and small pieces of equipment believed to be stolen were also seized by law enforcement.

Drug paraphernalia and illegal narcotics were also found into the home.

May was not home at the time of the search, but was found in Mayfield leaving a business. He was arrested without incident.

May was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Receiving Stolen Property under $500.

Anyone who has purchased items from May or has been approached by May to purchase items is asked to call the Graves County Sheriff's Office at (270) 247-4501.
