WASHINGTON DC (AP) -

Local states are getting millions of dollars from U.S. Housing and Urban Development to help end homelessness.

The agency's secretary, Julian Castro, says the continuum of care grants will ensure local organizations can provide housing and support to people in need.

Here's a state by state breakdown of the grant:
- Illinois will get the most out of the four state, $100 million.
- Missouri will get a little more than $30 million.
- Tennessee will get $22 million.
- Kentucky will get about $19 million.
