Four arrested in string of church burglaries

UNION COUNTY, IL -

Four men have been arrested and charged with multiple church burglaries in Union County, Illinois.

Union County State's Attorney Tyler Edmonds says at least six churches were burglarized including:

- Salem Lutheran Church, Jonesboro
- First Lutheran Church, Dongola
- United Missionary Baptist Church, rural Union County
- New Hope Baptist Church, rural Union County
- Ebenezer Hall Cumberland Presbyterian Church, rural Union County
- Saratoga Church, rural Union County

The four men were arrested by the Marion Police Department in January. Facing charges are:

- Garret Green of Creal Springs with two counts Burglary and two counts of Theft. Bond set at $50,000
- Aaron Henderson of Marion with four counts of Burglary and two counts of Theft. Bond set at $75,000.
- Kaleb Terry of Marion with six counts of Burglary and four counts of Theft. Bond set at $100,000.
- George Smith of Herrin with six counts of Burglary and four counts of Theft. Bond set at $100,000.

All four men are being held in the Williamson County Jail.
