Five charged with distributing drugs from Mississippi County residence

Posted: Updated:

Five Mississippi County residents were arrested for allegedly distributing drugs.

Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore says the arrests were made last week after an investigation led deputies to a Anniston residence.

Inside the residence, deputies found large quantities of amphetamine and methamphetamine, three digital scales, hundreds of baggies, and several other items associated with the distribution of controlled substances.

All five residents were arrested and taken to the Mississippi County Detention Center.

During their interviews, deputies found that each resident was aware of and actively involved with packaging and distributing narcotics from the residence.

All five were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They are:

36-year-old Jason Scott Lee
29-year-old Ashliegh Renae Jackson
51-year-old Doyle Wayne Wheatley
29-year-old Jeremy Luther Bradley
37-year-old Elizabeth Marlene Cole

All five remain in the Mississippi County Detention Center with their bonds set at $75,000 each.
