Mid-Continent to send out repayment letters to former students

MAYFIELD, Ky -

Mid-Continent University will begin sending out letters to former students "within the next week" according to the Kentucky Attorney General's office.

Those letters will offer two discounted payment options to students.

The first option will be a 10 year loan at a 20% discount, or students can make a single cash payment at a 30% discount.

The letters should only go to students who did not apply and qualify for federal student loans.

If a student receives the packet and believes that he or she has federal students loans, they should not complete the repayment paperwork and instead call the university.

Students who qualified for student loans will receive a separate packet, which will also include the option for a loan matching the terms of federal student loans.

Those packets will be sent once the Attorney General's office finalizes it's agreement with the university. It is unclear when that will happen.
