18-year-old Paducah woman charged with marijuana possession
PADUCAH, Ky -
A Paducah teen who called police and said her car had been stolen with her 6-month-old child inside was arrested Monday morning on marijuana possession and public intoxication charges, according to the Paducah Police Department.
Police say when 18-year-old Tiffany M. Houser, of College Avenue in Paducah, called E-911 central dispatch at 9:21 a.m. Monday, she said her car was stolen with her baby inside. She told dispatchers two men took the car while she was getting gasoline at the Star gas station at 2946 Old Mayfield Road.
When officers arrived, though, Houser said the baby's father took the car. Police found the baby with the father at home on College Avenue. The father said Houser hadn't been home and hadn't had the child for roughly two weeks.
Police say Houser's speech was slurred and slow, and a plastic bag containing marijuana was found in her purse. She couldn't tell officers where she'd stayed Sunday night, and looked like she'd been awake for an extended period.
Houser was jailed at McCracken County Regional Jail.
