FRANKFORT, Ky -

Kentucky State Police are hoping a new video plea will help provide new leads in the murder of a Bardstown Police Officer.

Troopers say Officer Jason Ellis was ambushed and killed on his way home from work on May 25, 2013.

Ellis left behind a wife and two children.

The new video has Ellis' wife, Amy, asking for anyone with information to contact police.

Anyone who may have information is asked to call Kentucky State Police at (270) 766-5078 or the Tip Line at (800) 222-5555.

Tips can also be submitted by e-mail to EllisCaseETips@ky.gov.

Kentucky State Police say reward funds have reached $185,000 for tips leading to an arrest and conviction.
