MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says one man was hospitalized and the other charged with driving under the influence after a two-vehicle wreck Friday.

At about 5:54 p.m. Friday, deputies got a report of a wreck at the entrance of Southern Pride in Paducah.

The sheriff's department says 38-year-old William Khourie, of Paducah, was sitting in a 2012 Dodge Pickup at the of Southern Pride entrance waiting to enter U.S. 68. Then, a 1985 GMC Pickup headed east on U.S. 68. — that the sheriff's department says was driven by 38-year-old Donald Farmer, of Benton — drifted into the entrance and hit the Dodge's driver side.

When deputies arrived, 51-year-old Shohny Munz was seated in the driver's seat and told deputies she tried to turn into the entrance of Southern Pride but lost control because of the slippery road from the rain. The sheriff's department said witness statements indicated Farmer was the actual driver.

The sheriff's department said when the wreck happened Munz left the passenger seat to check on Khourie, then Farmer switched seats and had her say she was driving.

Farmer was arrested and jailed at McCracken County Regional Jail. Khourie suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

Farmer was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence with aggravated circumstances, first degree wanton endangerment, and first degree criminal mischief.
