Chicago police say they have completed a search of a park lagoon where a toddler's head, feet and hands were discovered.
Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said Sunday no additional remains of the toddler were found. The investigation focused on the Garfield Park lagoon's west side where a K-9 unit had hits. Recovered items will be examined to see if they are connected to the case.
Detectives are working with the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as they await DNA test results from the remains.
The public is asked to report suspicious activity such as the disappearance of a neighborhood child, friend or family member, any unusual domestic activity or abrupt absences.
The child's remains were discovered last weekend after someone reported seeing a foot floating in the water.
