Here are six things to know for today.

She's already seen five days in jail, and now Kentucky clerk Kim Davis could be back in court for altering marriage license forms. Lawyers for two gay and two straight couples questioned the new marriage licenses and asked a federal judge to order Davis' office to re-issue them.

Pope Francis is scheduled to arrive in Washington, D.C. later today. He will be there for three days before heading to New York and Philadelphia later this week.

Today is an election day for some voters in McCracken County. The Williams precinct will decide on whether to allow alcohol sales. Polls opened at the Robert Cherry Civic Center at 6:00 a.m. and will close at 6:00 p.m. The precinct has 310 registered voters.

U.S. border agents are seeing a spike in unaccompanied children and families crossing the border with Mexico. U.S. officials say the recent surge isn't as high, but they are concerned because usually fewer people try to cross the border in hotter months.

Teams are setting up for this week's Barbecue on the River in Paducah. There will be some roads closed today. Water Street, from Broadway towards Schultz park, and sections of the municipal parking lot will be closed today.
