Police discover meth lab inside home during foot chase

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY -

Police found a meth lab inside a home after a chasing a McCracken man into the home.

The Paducah Police Department says Tuesday afternoon detectives stopped a vehicle in the area of Oaks and Hovekamp Roads.

22-year-old Dustin Baldwin got out of the vehicle and ran into a house on Hovekamp Road.

He then crawled through an attic vent onto the roof, jumped off the roof, and ran into a wooded area.

Officers caught him a short time later.

Inside the home that Baldwin ran into, detectives found a lab used to manufacture methamphetamine. 

Baldwin was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and fleeing and evading police.

He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
