One injured after deer hits two vehicles

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ky -

A crash involving two vehicles and a deer left one person injured Sunday evening.

Kentucky State Police say the accident happened in the 3600 block of US 60 in Crittenden County just before 11:00 p.m.

Troopers say a car was traveling east on US 60 when it hit a deer, causing the deer to become airborne.

As the deer was airborne, it was hit by an oncoming truck.

The deer went into the cab of the truck, injuring the driver, 21-year-old Chad Jackson of Marion, Kentucky.

Jackson was airlifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. His condition is unknown at this time.

The driver of the car was not injured.

An investigation is ongoing.
