The Paducah City Commission moved forward Tuesday night on several issues involving your tax dollars.
Commissioners introduced an ordinance to provide provide $126,086 for consulting services for the Paducah-McCracken County Emergency Communications Center. That depends upon joint funding with McCracken County. The amount in the ordinance the commission introduced represents half the consultant’s fee. The commission will vote on the ordinance on Dec. 1.
The commission also approved extending the terms of a $1.1 million loan to Genova Products. The company will use the money to buy equipment for its center on Commerce Drive, which opened in 2014.
The city also accepted an award of nearly $27,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for expenses related to winter weather last February.
