New poll shows majority of Kentuckians have unfavorable views of Affordable Care Act

LOUISVILLE, KY -

Half of Kentuckians say that the Affordable Care Act has not had an impact on them or their families.

That's according to a new poll from the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky and Interact for Health.

According to the poll, 23% of Kentuckians reported that the ACA had a positive affect, up 7% from 2013.

Those saying that the ACA had a negative affect remained steady since 2013 and stands at 23%.

As for opinions on the ACA, those with favorable views have grown from 26% to 41%. 

46% still have unfavorable views of the law.

The poll results in Kentucky are similar to national views on the healthcare law.

A September 2015 poll by Kaiser Health Tracking Poll showed that 45% had unfavorable views of the law, while 41% had favorable views.
