VIENNA, IL -

The investigation continues into what happened in a pre-kindergarten classroom at Vienna Grade School. A source tells us a student saw a picture of a naked adult on an iPad.

The school district says they can’t talk about an ongoing investigation or whether the teacher was the source of Monday night’s closed door session at the school board meeting.

But a preschool parent tells us her children’s teacher hasn’t been in class lately, and after receiving a letter from the district about students being "accidentally exposed to something inappropriate," she says she wants answers.

A mother of two preschool students, Grace Koehler had questions for the Vienna School Board about a letter that came home with her kids, telling parents about inappropriate content on an iPad. She says she’s not getting information from school officials.

“I’m still not getting any answers, and I think, as a parent, I have a right to know,” said Koehler.

She says she’s taking this very seriously, and she finds it frustrating that, no matter where she turns, there are no clear answers as to what’s going on.

"Aggravated. Because then, whenever I spoke with the teacher who was there at the time, she was just very dismissive about it," Koehler said.

Koehler said her kids’ teacher isn’t in class these days. Instead, the class is being taught by an aid and substitutes. But, she says when she spoke to the teacher the day after getting the letter from the school, she was given a small piece of information from her kids’ teacher.

"My two children were not involved; that did come out of her mouth. And she said it was in the afternoon class," Koehler said.

Vienna School District Superintendent Greg Frehner says he cannot confirm any of the details, but did say the school is investigating this and taking the matter seriously.

"We're aware of an alleged incident, there is an ongoing investigation and, through that investigation, there will be no comment," said Frehner.

Koehler says that’s not enough. She says she and other parents just want answers as to what happened in that preschool class.

Frehner says the school will continue its investigation. As of Monday night, there’s no clear information on how the investigation will proceed. Local 6 will continue to follow this story as it develops.
