Man accused of Erica Hagan murder found not guilty

A man accused of murdering a Murray woman in Chile in 2014 was found not guilty Wednesday.
Erica Hagan, a 22 year old from Murray, was found dead in her apartment in Chile in September of 2014. Domingo Cofre, who police say was a security guard at the Chilean school where Hagan worked, was accused of murdering her.
The court announced a not guilty verdict for Cofre Wednesday. Erica's grandmother, Barbara McCormick, tells Local 6's Ashley Sanchez she doesn't understand the verdict because of DNA evidence from the crime scene prosecutors presented during the trial.
A hearing has been set for Wednesday of next week, where the judges will explain how they reached their decision.
