Heavy rains force road closures across Local 6 area

PADUCAH, Ky -

As heavy rains continue to fall in the Local 6 area the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed a number of roads due to flooding.

McCracken County reports water over road signs are up on KY 358 at about mile point 3.8.

A drain is clogged with debris causing a backup.

There are likely to be a lot of spots around line this as the rain continues.

Crittenden County reports KY 855 is closed at the 5 mile marker due to water over the road.

This is along KY 855 between the Frances community and US 60.

Crittenden County reports KY 902 is also closed due to high water at the 5 mile marker.

This is in the Dry Fork Creek area between Dycusburg and Fredonia about a mile from the Crittenden-Caldwell County Line

In Lyon County KY 1943 is closed at the 4.5 mile point near Skinframe Creek in the Northern portion of the county.

KY 1113/Free Betty Ford Rd is also closed at the Lyon-Crittenden County Line

A crew is out patrolling for other locations that may be flooded.

Due to continued rainfall we expect water levels to fluctuate through Monday.
