AURORA, KY -
Students interested in wildlife and the environment will have the chance to watch bald eagles along Kentucky Lake in January, the Kentucky Department of Parks announced Monday.
Students can take a two-hour cruise on Jan. 29 along Kentucky Lake, departing from Kenlake State Resort Park at Aurora. The parks department says the program aligns with state academic standers and will be led by parks department and state fish and wildlife department members.
Two trips are scheduled: a 9:30 a.m. cruise for public and private school students and a 1 p.m. cruise for home school students.
Attendance costs $15 per student and the registration deadline is Jan. 20.
For more information about registration and about the cruise, you can call Lisa Deavers at 502-564-8110, ext. 246, or email her at email@example.com.
