CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ky. -

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says Cave-In-Rock Ferry is closed Monday because of high winds. The ferry had to halt operation around 4 p.m. Monday.

KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the ferry is expected to resume service Thursday morning.

The Cave-In-Rock Ferry connects Kentucky 91 with Illinois Route 1 across the Ohio River between Crittenden County, Kentucky, and Hardin County, Illinois. It normally operates from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
