MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY -

Two men were arrested on multiple drug charges Sunday as a result of a joint investigation by McCracken County and Marshall County drug detectives.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies stopped 36-year-old John Doublin of Benton, Kentucky, and 49-year-old Paducahan Terry Kelley's pickup truck on Alben Barkely Drive around 1:47 p.m. Sunday. That's when they say they found eight 34 gram bags of crystal methamphetamine, an amphetamine pill, a syringe and $3,408 in the truck. Investigators say the money is believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

Detectives searched a storage unit on North Friendship Road in McCracken County as part of that investigation, where they say they found 725 grams of crystal meth, a digital scale and two guns. Detectives then searched a motel room at 5120 Hinkleville Road in Paducah, where they seized additional drug paraphernalia and an additional $10,231 in suspected drug money.

Doublin was charged with disregarding a traffic control device, no rear view mirror, first degree trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of amphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kelley was charged with firearm enhanced first degree trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (two counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
