GRAVES COUNTY, KY -

A man arrested in Graves County on charges of sexual offenses against a 13-year-old girl has had run-ins with the law for at least six years.

Brian Readenour was arrested Monday and charged with third degree rape, four counts of third degree sodomy, four counts of sexual abuse, four counts of first degree selling a controlled substance to a minor and four counts of first degree unlawful transaction with a minor.

Court records show in 2009 Readenour was charged with marijuana possession.

In 2013 he was charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a victim under 12 years old and three counts of third degree rape. Later, the sexual abuse charge was amended to the lesser charge of assault. The rape charge was dismissed.

In 2014 Readenour entered an Alford plea. Essentially, he admitted there was enough evidence to convict him, but he did not admit guilt. He was sentenced to five years probation.

In that time, there were more run-ins with the law. This past October, he was arrested for meth in Graves County.

Wednesday, Local 6's Blake Stevens talks with legal experts and learns the options available to victims in these cases.
