Community Foundation of West Kentucky accepting Philanthropy 360 grant applications

Community Foundation of West Kentucky has announced it's accepting applications from area nonprofits for several micro grants in the Philanthropy 360 program for projects addressing urgent, emergency or unexpected needs up to $1,000 and projects that need $1,000 or less.
The foundation says it's accepting applications from nonprofit organizations serve their communities in western Kentucky in the areas of community arts, educational attainment, health awareness, children’s programs and social services. It will take applications until 4 p.m. on Feb. 26.
Applicants must be defined as a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Community Foundation of West Kentucky Grants Committee, with the approval of the board of directors, will decide which applications are accepted and awarded a grant. Although available funding is limited, the foundation says each of the areas of interest will be funded.
Attendance at the Philanthropy 360 event, where the grants will be announced and distributed, is required to receive grant funding. If a winner doesn't show up to the event, an alternate winner is chosen. The event will be held from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 17 at the Market House Theater at 132 Market House Square in Paducah.
