Here are six things to know for today.

Police in Kansas say they are still looking  for a motive in the deadly shooting that left four people dead, including the shooter. This is the second deadly shooting in the United States in less than a week.

Apple is filing a motion to throw out the order that says it must unlock suspected terrorist Syed Farook's phone. Last week, the FBI got a court order demanding Apple unlock the phone. Apple representatives say the FBI is seeking what it calls "dangerous power."

An autopsy is scheduled today for Jennifer Hicks. She was reported missing earlier this month. Kentucky State Police say they found her body yesterday in Calloway County.

Jeffrey Conrad will be back in a McCracken County courtroom today for a hearing. He's the man accused of killing Garlon Casey Cox. Conrad says Cox and another man were robbing his storage unit in the Reidland area and that he shot Cox in the head in defense of his female friend.

Eighteen Kohl's stores across the country are closing this summer. We won't know which stores until the company release its list next month. The retailer's CEO says the move comes as the company starts testing out smaller stores.

Today is National Pistachio Day. The little green nut has been cultivated in the Middle East since biblical times, but only came to the U.S. in the late 19th century. Pistachio nuts are a source of protein and fiber, along with vitamin B6, copper, and manganese.
