MINER, Mo. -

Miner, Missouri, police are looking a man they say was involved in storage shed break-ins on Miner's Matthews Lane.

Police say they're looking for 23-year-old James Michael Wells, who they say left the scene of a break-in in a vehicle belonging to another man arrested in the case. A warrant has been issued for his arrest charging second degree burglary, theft and property damage.

Officers say the break-ins happened at Byrd's Mini Storage. They say an officer arrived as a suspect vehicle was leaving the storage area, leaving a man behind. That man — 23-year-old Tyler Lowe — was arrested and charged with second degree burglary, theft and property damage. He was released on bond on Thursday.

The vehicle that drove away, which police say belongs to Lowe, was later found abandoned in a field just east of Miner. Police say stolen property was recovered from the vehicle and returned to the owners.

If you have information about where Wells is, you can call the Miner Police Department (573-471-8568) or your local law enforcement agency.
