Celebration of life scheduled for local teen killed in car crash

PADUCAH, KY -

Funeral arrangements have been made for a Paducah teenager who was killed Tuesday in an early morning crash

Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah tells Local 6 a celebration of 16-year-old Farah Ervin's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 4, at Bellview Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Nolen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, at the church. 

The funeral home has provided an obituary for McCracken County High School student, which you can read below. 

Farah Caroline Ervin, 16, of Paducah died Tuesday, March 1, 2016.

Miss Ervin was a member of McCracken County High School Symphonic Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, and Marching Band. She was a Future Business Leader of America and an active member of Bellview Baptist Church in Paducah, where she volunteered in the nursery and sang in the choir.

She is survived by her parents, Spencer Ervin of Paducah and Daphne Clements-Miles of North Little Rock, AR; one sister, Lauren Ervin of Paducah; three brothers, Peter Ervin of Paducah, Julian Ervin of Paducah, and Elijah Wolf of Conway, AR; paternal grandparents, Janice and Michael Curtis of Paducah; one great-grandmother, Jean Howard of Owensboro, KY; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jake and Caroline Clements, and two aunts.

A celebration of Farah’s life will take place on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:00 am at Bellview Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Nolen officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bellview Baptist Church Youth Group, 4875 Old Mayfield Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
