Flooding closes some west Kentucky roads

Posted: Updated:

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says some roads in west Kentucky are closed because of water over the road Wednesday night.

KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the cabinet has the following Water Over Road Report for District 1:

Graves County
- KY 348/Wadesboro Rd is CLOSED near the Graves-McCracken County Line due to a washed out cross drain between Hardmoney and KY 450/Oaks Road.

Hickman County
- KY 123 is CLOSED between the 14 and 16mm in the Obion Creek Bottoms area near Oakton.

McCracken County
- KY 787/Bryant Ford Rd CLOSED at 0-1mm at McCracken-Marshall County Line near Clarks River.
- KY 348/Wadesboro Rd is CLOSED near the Graves-McCracken County Line due to a washed out cross drain between Hardmoney and KY 450/Oaks Road.

Trigg County
- KY 1507 is closed at the 1 mile marker.

If you encounter an area where water covers the roadway that is not posted with Water Over Road signs, you can take note of the specific location and report it to your local 911 call center.

Todd says to remember to "Turn around. Don't drown."
