GRAVES COUNTY, KY -

A Paducah man was arrested Friday morning after the Graves County Sheriff's Office got a call of a suspicious person.

Deputies were sent to Lakeshore Drive and found 34-year-old David Novetske.

Novetske was standing on the side of the road with a large screen TV and several boxes of miscellaneous items, including a backpack.

Inside the backpack was a digital scale and methamphetamine.

Deputies say some of the items were stolen.

Novetske was arrested and taken to the Graves County Jail.

At the jail, staff determined Novetske had a bag of contraband on him. The staff was unable to get the contraband, so Novetske was taken to a local emergency room to retrieve the contraband.

Novetske was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property under $500, possession of marijuana, and promoting contraband 1st degree.
