An emergency official in northwest Tennessee says more than a dozen homes have been evacuated after heavy rains breached a levee near Kenton.
Gibson County Emergency Management Agency director Rickey Graves tells The Jackson Sun (http://bit.ly/1LkN42L) that about 10 homes in Kenton and a half-dozen homes in Trenton were evacuated late Saturday night. He says fire crews also rescued stranded motorists who attempted to drive through flooded streets.
The National Weather Service says a flood warning continues through Thursday for the North Fork of the Obion River near Martin.
Graves says the water was receding Sunday in Trenton.
