It was throwback Monday in Cupertino, California. as Apple announced new devices to its line of iPhones and iPads.

The new iPhone SE has the same body style as the older iPhone 5 and 5S models, which were first introduced in 2012.

Apple stated there are still fans of the slimmer iPhones and that the company sold more than 30 million of the devices in 2015, after the newer and larger iPhone 6 was released. The SE has the body style of the 5S but all of the features of an iPhone 6S, including a better camera, faster processor and the ability to shoot 4K video.

The iPhone SE goes on sale this month. It starts at $299.

Perhaps the most important announcement for many is an update to the original 10 inch iPad. In recent years, Apple has updated the iPad Mini and introduced a 12 inch iPad Pro while ignoring the 10 inch tablet, which remains the company's most popular iPad. The 10 inch iPad Pro has the features of the 12 inch model, including a better camera, faster processor and the Apple Pen —a stylus that allows users to write on the tablet screen the same as they do on paper.

The smart stylus and screen can recognize a palm and fingertips and will allow for only the pen to draw on the screen. The 10 inch iPad Pro starts at $599.

You can pre-order the iPhone SE and the iPad Pro starting March 24, and shipping starts May 31.

Also announced is a new iOS operating system for all users of iOS devices except the iPhone 4 and 4S. A new feature is the ability for the device screen to turn to an amber shade when the room is dark. Apple says the warm tone is more soothing in dark conditions and will not affect a person's sleep pattern the way staring at a blue color screen may. iOS 9.3 is available for download now.

Apple made one other announcement that impressed the crowd. Tim Cook announced this will be the last device announcement in the auditorium that the tech giant has used to make all other product announcements. Cook said by next year Apple's new campus will be open. Some have referred to the campus a spaceship because of its round design.
