A Paducah, Kentucky man is in jail after a man stopped him from trying to take items from his car.
McCracken County Sheriff's Deputy Derick Pugh says it happened just after 8:00 p.m. Monday. They received a call that someone was trying to take items from a car parked in a driveway on Pepper Lane. Pugh says before deputies arrived, 24-year-old Jacob Wiggins pulled onto Pepper Lane and parked his car, leaving his 3-year-old son unattended. He was taken into custody for the theft, driving under the influence, and wanton endangerment of his 3-year-old son. Wiggins later told deputies he had illegal narcotics his car. They searched it and found hydrocodone, alprazolam, marijuana, zubsolv tablets and dried mushrooms. Possession of drief mushrooms, also known as psilocybin, is a felony.
